1. What we offer
My Mountain Playground provides an accommodation finder service to help seasonnaires find winter accommodation in the Alps. We also provide an airport transfer service to enable tenants to reach their resort destination easily.
We advertise your property, take enquiries, provide introductions to applicants (if you want to meet or speak to an applicant before they book), assess suitability of applicants for your property, and take the booking.
Properties are advertised on www.mymountainplayground.co.uk and we simply add a 10-12% commission to your net rental price.
2. What we need from you
All you need to do is send your details by email to email@example.com providing us with a detailed description of your property, including photos if possible, and your required net price for the accommodation for the season. We require that you are completely honest when describing your property ie if the bus stop is a 20 minute walk, please state this and don’t undersetimate things. My Mountain Playground cannot be held liable for any discrepanicies.
We suggest a guideline price of between £2000 and £3500 per bed, depending on the resort and quality of your accommodation. If you are not sure, please ask us and we will make price suggestions. Please remember, the more reasonable the price, the easier it is for us to sell.
If you are looking for a particular type of person to rent or share your property (eg older, couples, groups, individuals etc), please let us know.
Please keep us informed of your property’s availability in the run up to the season, and please also let us know if you would like to speak to or meet the applicants before they book.
4. Bookings and payment
All bookings will be confirmed in writing (by email) to you. Tenants pay an initial deposit of 10% to hold the property. This will be forwarded to you when we receive a booking. The tenant will make the remaining payment to us in full prior to taking possession of any property. We will forward you the outstanding amount for your property either by cheque or bank transfer.
We will try our hardest to help you fill your property, but cannot offer a booking guarantee. My Mountain Playground cannot be held liable for any losses, damages or expenses incurred arising from the introduction of a tenant.
5. Property rental contracts
Once a booking has been made, we will organise the rental contracts and ensure that tenants sign them. You will need to issue keys to your tenants when they arrive in reosrt, however we can assist with this for a small fee, depending on the location of your property. We will provide all contact details to both you and the tenants prior to key handover.
6. Security deposits
We will organise taking a security deposit from the tenants a week before they arrive. This is normally fully refundable at the end of the season (provided no damage has been done and no bills remain unpaid).
Unless otherwise specified by you, we recommend a security deposit of £250 per person, with a minimum of £750 per property.
7. Future bookings
In any case where a tenant introduced by Mountain Playground Group subsequently re-contracts to take the same property with any owner for a future season, then commission remains payable to us at the same rate as in the initial season. As in the initial season, we will handle payments on behalf of the owner, if required.
We will add a commission to your net rental price of between 10 and 12%. This will be retained by us, from payments made by your tenants.
As soon as the keys have been handed over, all responsibility for the property is with you. Any problems therein must be conveyed directly to you and dealt with promptly.
